Last Kiss

Ever feel like the world is out to get you? It is.

Five radical teens with attitude should not be responsible for saving the world. Yet we’re told this story over and over. It’s a story that frequently bleeds into tabletop RPGs. Playing teens that can defeat the ultimate evil has become a classic narrative. Last Kiss does not embrace that narrative.

Instead Last Kiss embraces flawed characters and poor choices born of inexperience. Your character is a god-damned teenager. They might act like they have it all figured out, but they don’t. How could they when there is a literal evil force making their lives harder?

The main characters will seek out some normal high school goals like dominating on the sports field, kissing the mean girl, or becoming class president. While they play pretend, the darkness will seep in. The darkness colors the world so nothing is quite right. This is a world where disputes can be resolved via duels, where the next town over seems a world away, and where monsters live in secret. Normal doesn’t have a chance.

What will you do before it all ends?

In Last Kiss, you play a senior in high school, with all the pressures that any teenager faces, plus
the literal embodiment of entropy and evil lurking in the background watching you struggle before the world ends. Do what you can to control your little piece of reality, and keep a grip on your own identity before it all ends. Includes heavy themes of queer identity, self awareness and hopelessness.

Last Kiss uses a unique blend of Powered by the Apocalypse and Belonging Outside Belonging. Our Main Characters will gain and lose Main Character Energy. Too little, and you’ll find it hard to exert your will on the narrative. Too much, and the narrative will remind you what happens to main characters on top of the world.

Last Kiss is a surreal exploration of queer teens powerlessly facing down the end of the world inspired by Revolutionary Girl Utena and I Saw The TV Glow.

Everything is Hopeless. Darkness is encroaching. The end is inevitable. but…

Will you be there for a Last Kiss before the world ends?
